Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 apple, diced
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: additional diced apples, nuts, or seeds
Instructions
- Prepare the Base:
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, and Greek yogurt.
- Stir in the diced apple, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Mix and Refrigerate:
- Mix all the ingredients until well combined.
- Cover the bowl or transfer the mixture into individual jars or containers.
- Refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours, to allow the oats to soften and absorb the liquid.
- Serve:
- In the morning, give the oats a good stir.
- If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Top with additional diced apples, nuts, or seeds if desired.
- Enjoy cold, or warm it up in the microwave if you prefer a hot breakfast.
