Turkey and Avocado Wrap
Ingredients
- 4 large whole wheat tortillas
- 1 lb sliced turkey breast
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 cup baby spinach leaves
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1/2 cup sliced red onion
- 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Avocado:
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth.
- Prepare the Tortillas:
- Lay out the whole wheat tortillas on a clean surface.
- If using mayonnaise, spread a thin layer over each tortilla.
- Assemble the Wraps:
- Spread a generous amount of the mashed avocado over each tortilla.
- Layer the spinach leaves, sliced turkey breast, shredded cheddar cheese (if using), sliced red onion, and sliced tomatoes evenly over each tortilla.
- Drizzle Dijon mustard over the fillings.
- Wrap It Up:
- Carefully roll up each tortilla tightly, tucking in the sides as you go to keep the fillings inside.
- Slice each wrap in half, if desired, for easier eating.
- Serve:
- Serve immediately, or wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to eat.
