Summer Soccer Training Packet - Day 33

Day 33 Motivation: "In the offseason, the difference between good and great is determined by your willingness to go the extra mile. So push yourself beyond your comfort zone, embrace the discomfort, and trust that your dedication will pay off in the end." - Coach Thomas Goodman

Today is going to be very hard on Cardio, we will be doing 90mins to see where we are on "game ready", today I am asking you to do the videos provided so I can use it as a guide in comparison to other on the team.

Part 1 - Warm up

Part 2 - First 45min Cardio

You will need a chair or stool for this session.

Part 3 - Half time Stretch

At a game you will get 10mins or 15mins to talk with coaches and stretch to keep ready to go on the second half. This video talks about halftime ideas, next season I will be providing bananas and other energy snacks at half time as well as figure out a great discussion based off pre-determined questions. I would like you to do a 4-5min stretch before you get onto the second 45min cardio session

Part 4 - Second 45mins of Cardio

This one uses light weights if you dont have any you can use soup cans

Part 5 - Stretch

Journal Entry #33: Today was 90mins of cardio what we call "game ready" did you complete the full 90 mins with little difficulty? Was it too hard? If you had to stop when did you stop? HIIT training is good for soccer creation, do you like this style of cardio over just running for 90 mins?

Put your food and drink intake from yesterday
